fly-in sport fishing lodges. Beartracks Lodge also known as Bear Tracks Lodge, is renowned as a destination for
fisherman of all levels. Daily helicopter charters are available

We fish the midpoint of the Talachulitna River
in Southcentral Alaska. The Talachulitna was the first stream in Alaska to
be designated exclusively as a catch and release river for Rainbow Trout. Dry
fly hungry Arctic Grayling are also native. This fishing river offers extremely
strong runs of all five species of Pacific Salmon.
Located less than an hour's bush plane flight from Anchorage,
our lodge caters to anglers looking to enjoy the beauty and solitude of Alaska
while enjoying the personal service that provides the flexibility to create your
vacation.
Built from hand hewn logs, Beartracks
offers first class amenities in a rustic atmosphere.
Our cabins are comfortable, the showers hot,
and we prepare delicious family-style meals with fresh baked breads and desserts.
If you have diet restrictions or have a craving, please let us know.
As our guest, you'll experience the finest fishing of your
life. We accommodate private groups up to four fishermen. This way, our guides
take out two or three anglers per boat and concentrate on giving you personal attention.
Each morning, with your guide, you'll glide safely up the
river in a flat-bottom jet boat. Within 15 miles, you'll come upon prime waters
and proven holes. Our guides are experienced and generous with their knowledge,
so you'll get plenty of help and hook-ups.
During your stay, receive lessons or feel free to tie your
own fly or create a spinner at our fully stocked bench. Nothing beats catching
a fish on a pattern that you have hand made.
The native fish in this river
include five species of Pacific Salmon, catch and release Rainbow Trout and dry
fly hungry Arctic Grayling. Expect to catch a variety. We will clean, package
and freeze the fish for you to bring home.
The Talachulitna is a sport fishing river, whereby the State
of Alaska requires the use of a single hook and artificial bait for all fish,
and the release of all Rainbow Trout. The result: big beautiful Rainbows and
more of them!
All five species of Pacific Salmon may be kept in accordance
with the Fish and Game Laws of the State of Alaska.
